Hi there!

I’m Dr. Kristen J. Mills . My pronouns are she/her/hers. I enjoy working with students, educators, researchers, and communities to promote academic success and well-being among traditionally underrepresented students.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in Higher Education and Student Affairs and the Department of Educational Studies at The Ohio State University. I received my Ph.D. in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University.

My research program examines academic resilience and racial battle fatigue among minoritized students, and the use of research evidence in education. My work is published in journals such as Journal of Diversity in Higher Education, Journal of Black Psychology, Evidence and Policy, Educational Research Review, and American Journal of Community Psychology.
